The licence
Aqua Launcher is released under the MIT licence. The source, including the exact permission and warranty text, is in the project repository. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software under that licence.
No warranty
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. The authors are not liable for claims, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use.
Source builds
There is no public installer yet. The site explains how to build a Windows installer from source. Build output is produced on your machine, and you are responsible for reviewing and running it. Windows SmartScreen may warn until a signing certificate exists.
Third party services and game files
Aqua works with Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft for Windows, Horizon, Modrinth, and Microsoft services. Your use of those products remains governed by their own terms. Aqua does not grant you a Minecraft licence, does not include game files, and does not authorise joining servers or downloading content in ways their operators prohibit.
Trademarks and affiliation
Aqua Launcher is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios, Microsoft, the Horizon project, or Modrinth. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.
Acceptable use
Do not use Aqua to distribute game files, bypass account or server access controls, or break the terms of a service you connect to. The launcher's local first design means your files and your choices stay with you.
Changes and contact
These terms may change as the project changes. The date above records the latest revision. Questions can be raised in the Aqua issue tracker.
